It's a Yay Day!

I have a job working for Werner Enterprises! Yay! They'll assign a truck to me tomorrow morning. Although I was hoping to run 48 states, all they had available was Western Regional, which means WA, OR, ID, MT, WY, CA, NV, UT, CO, NM, and of course, AZ. I'm really excited about working for this company, and I'm sure more opportunities will open up in due time.

In your declaration of happiness, do you not compromise yourself? If you are to track your journals you would see this is not what you wanted. (I'm playing devils advocate here)

I think this will be a great opportunity for you, but I have to ask is this another stop gap, to what you wish? Another hope, but without the will to make success, or is this truly the route?

Find that wish brings you what you want, and if not keep searching, but do not seek something down paths you have traveled before. Unless you have changed fundamentally, and those paths are more clear.

I have to question my friend. The tone seems rights, but the philosophy feels wrong. If you have the will, it will be grand, but if not, it will end in failure. Hopefully you have not decided now, but if the decision is failure, I hope that you are already looking for the next path.

(Sorry, I was feeling uber philosophical tonight, and am slightly tipsy.)

Is good. I appreciate you looking out for me. In some ways, yes, this is doing what didn't work before again. In other ways, it's different. I'm bringing musical instruments on the truck with me and getting more practice done than when I was at home. I'm making it a point to explore the places I'm seeing more, rather than just going straight to sleep as soon as the truck is parked.

Musicians do a lot of road trips. In some ways, I think this is preparing me. In others, it's helping me understand the country I come from, to see a birds eye view of America.

I also get the feeling that there's something else I'll be getting out of this, but I don't know what. I got to see Roger at Magus Books in Minneapolis again. The few brief interactions I've had with him have had an immeasurable impact on my spiritual life. I think this recent encounter was no exception. Maybe there's some metaphysical lesson for me on the road. Who knows? The money sure doesn't hurt. ;)
